Have you ever run a load of dishes only to find that the dishes still looked dirty? This is often caused by a clogged or dirty dishwasher. Slide out the bottom rack and clean the bottom or tub of your dishwasher and around the drain area. Check to make sure nothing is blocking the drain.

Fill a cup with white vinegar and place it on the top rack of the dishwasher. Run a cycle with nothing in the dishwasher but the cup of vinegar. This will help take care of any odors and will also help to remove any grime left behind.

If you see any stains, use a 1/3 vinegar, 2/3 water spray mixture and then spray and wipe with a sponge.

Occasionally sprinkle baking soda in the tub between cleanings to remove unpleasant odors and run it through a quick wash using hot water.
